HOW WILL YOU MANAGE THE RISK OF COVID-19?

Central Park is covid compliant. The layout of the venue & tables adhere to social distancing and ensure it can be maintained throughout your visit.

Here is how we will keep you safe:

  • All staff are fully trained on our Covid-19 operations and procedures

  • Tables are processed through a pre booking system to ensure all groups have their own space and kept 2m apart.
  • Hand sanitisation stations will be available throughout the site, on arrival and at the toilets.
  • Our rolling booking system allows for staggered entry & exit avoiding potential congestion
  • The ability to purchase food and drink from your table with our own easy-to-use web app that can be used in your browser, so there’s no need to download! / The venue runs completely on table service in conjunction with our app. Purchase all food & drink from the app and have it delivered to your table.
  • When a table leaves, our cleaning team will be on hand for a thorough clean & sterilisation in line with our strict hygiene procedures, ready for the next group to use.
  • Thorough and regular cleaning processes by every food trader and staff member at Central Park
  • All table, bar service staff as well as security will be wearing PPE and regularly washing their hands.
  • We will clearly display the track and trace barcode upon entry and also our booking system will record track and trace and will be stored for 21 days in accordance with the guidance. Details may be shared with the NHS, if required.

 

General

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

You can find us at Times Square, which is just a few steps away from Newcastle Central Station and is overlooked by the Life Centre. The postcode for the venue is NE1 4EP.

WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?

We’re opening on Thursday 29th April at 5PM.
From here on we’ll be open every Thursday & Friday from 5PM – 11.30PM, Saturday & Sunday from 12PM – 11.30PM.
We’ll also be opening on Bank Holiday Mondays with weekend opening hours plus some extra special dates to be announced.
We’ll also be open for all dates of Euro 2021 from 12PM.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED?

Absolutely! Central Park is dog friendly. Please keep your pooch on a lead though and on the floor, the seats are for humans. We’ll provide the water & treats to keep them happy.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

Times Square is super central and super easy to find! We’re to the right hand side of Central Station (if looking at the entrance) and just a 5 minute straight line journey from monument.

Arrival

DO I HAVE TO ARRIVE AT A CERTAIN TIME?

Yes, you should arrive as close to the time that you booked as possible and groups must arrive together. This is so we can manage our capacity properly and ensure social distancing. Unfortunately we will have to give your table away if you arrive later than 15 minutes after your start time so please arrive on time.

HOW WILL WE FIND OUR TABLE?

When you arrive at Central Park you’ll be met by our meet & greet team who will check your tickets, your temperature and then show you to your table. They’ll also explain how the app works and how you order food and drinks and they’ll also provide table service too!

 

So just sit back, relax and enjoy being out of the house. Once seated, please refrain from mixing with other tables so we can remain in accordance with social distancing policies.

Bookings

DO I HAVE TO BOOK OR CAN I JUST WALK UP ON THE DAY?

We always receive a few tables for walk up, but obviously these are not always guaranteed slot pre bookings secure your table and space with your group so you don’t have to worry.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE FOR MY SLOT?

To support us & the events industry and to help ensure we uphold our social distancing policies, please arrive with your group and on time. This helps us keep everyone safe and ensures you get maximum eating and drinking time!
As we’re operating a bookings system much like a restaurant would, we can only hold tables for a maximum 15 minutes after your slot begins.

WHAT DOES PRE-BOOKING GET ME?

Pre booking ensures you have a seat for a 2.45 hour slot on our wonderful site.

 

All bookings include a complimentary drink (house lager, cocktail or soft drink) as well as a reserved table for your group, table service, access to the amazing street food vendors, and entertainment when government guidelines allow.

 

Our seating plan is designed with social distancing in mind and with covid safety of the utmost importance. Due to this, tables can only be booked for 2, 4 or 6 people. If you’re a group of 3 or 5, just book for 4 or 6 and get the extra drink for the price of the ticket. Groups of more than 6 can not be booked and seated together and all bookings must be made in accordance with government guidelines, which are due to change from 17th May.

 

There is a limited number of VIP seating options available for a small extra amount. These seats are covered and in the prime location on site. They aren’t available in every time slot due to our rolling bookings system.

Food & Drink

HOW DO WE ORDER FOOD AND DRINKS?

We have an in-browser-app to handle all food and drink orders, no need to download! All you will need to do, is scan the QR code at your table, and order from the menu that it brings up – simple!

 

A member of our team will then bring your order to your table.

CAN WE ORDER AT THE BAR?

For Covid safety there won’t be any ordering at the bar, all orders go through our app. But that just means no queues!

WHAT ARE YOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS?

By booking a table you have accepted these Terms and Conditions together with all other terms and conditions found in our FAQ’s on our website which are subject to change from time to time.
Bookings are available for tables that can accommodate 2, 4 or 6 persons. If you book a table for 2 people, the maximum number of guests that will be permitted entry under that booking is 2. If you book a table for 4 people, the maximum number of guests that will be permitted entry under that booking is 4. If you book a table for 6 people, the maximum number of guests that will be permitted entry under that booking is 6.
Each group that arrives receives a complimentary drinks pitcher – one pitcher of the same drink per table. Drinks on offer may change subject to availability.
Groups must arrive together and on time presenting a valid e-ticket. If you arrive without a valid e-ticket, we reserve the right to deny entry and you will not be entitled to a refund. We also reserve the right to deny entry to you and your group if you arrive more than 15 minutes after your session time has started and you will not be entitled to a refund.
You will be required to use a mobile device application on your own device to purchase food and drinks. We are a cashless site.
All bookings are non-transferable and non-refundable. If, after you have booked, you cannot attend the event, you will not be entitled to a refund and will not be able to move your booking.
If the event is altered or cancelled by us for reasons outside of our control, for example due to extreme weather or because of government restrictions, you will be offered a booking on an alternative date, and if the event is not rescheduled you will be able to request a refund.
You must be over the age of 18 to enter site, unless specifically stated in advance, for example ‘family afternoons” and reserve the right to deny entry without refund offered.
You may be asked for valid ID upon entry or at your table to prove your age. Valid forms include UK Passport, Driving License or National ID Card.
We reserve the right to deny entry (or eject) all guests under any booking if any person within that booking behaves in a way that our staff consider disorderly or disruptive, unduly intoxicated, or if our social distancing rules are not followed. In this instance nobody within your booking would be entitled to any refund.
